Biography

A graduate of the CRR de Versailles and the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where she obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in viola da gamba performance in the classes of Emmanuelle Guigues and Philippe Pierlot, Manon Chapelle is currently pursuing her musical studies at the HEM de Genève, in the Master of Pedagogy program with Guido Balestracci.
During her training, she has also benefited from the advice of Julia Griffin, Lucile Boulanger, Christophe Coin, Marianne Müller, Paolo Pandolfo, Florence Bolton, Jérôme Hantaï…

Dividing her time between performing and teaching, she has taken part in numerous productions with various ensembles, including Les Flots Baroques and La Ferté, which she co-directs. She also organizes and leads early music workshops with the Caix d’Hervelois, Les Amusemens and Ouvrez la Tête associations, and teaches musical training (notably at the Geneva Conservatory of Music) and viola da gamba.
Her studies in literary preparatory classes, theater and contemporary dance also enable her to nurture her artistic practice by forging links between disciplines.
